Is there any real downside to playing the Original SNES version vs the DS remake? I know the DS Version has a new translation, some cutscenes and some new content, but at this point with the DS version would I be missing out on something by going for the SNES version.

I would love to play this on my TV as opposed to my 3DS, but I would be willing to use my 3DS if there is a significant bonus.
