Install Windows 8 On Socket 478 Motherboard Repair
I want to know if a INTEL DUO (dual) CORE CPU be used if the CPU is made for a 478 socket? Is a Dual Core CPU available as a 478 pin to fit older Dells made to run XP, but I'll be installing Windows 7 because XP support got discontinued, which means NO FREE ANTI-VIRUS ESSENTIALS FOR YOU:emotion-39: I know about the AVG Anti-Virus for free if has XP, but the AVG still lets viruses slip through, XP operating system needs be replaced with either VISTA, or Windows 7 if want to be able to get. Remove your computer’ s chassis cover, screws and slot bracket from the computer. Press the expansion card firmly into expansion slot in motherboard. 33 Series Motherboard Step 4: Connect ribbon cables, cabinet wires, and power supply Step.

Gpx3dx, PM cl-albert he can make it a sticky. Good job and will save people a lot of time and aggravation. 8 and 10 are quite different to install than 7 and before. Also I'll link you too a thread similar back in 2012 when 8 was first coming out. There are a few section that you might want to update and add. http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...l=1#post224827
A good guide and list of driver install right after install. Chipset, IRST, IME etc you can pretty much copy that from Rewben thread that I link for your
Installing Chipset drivers hardly any one knows how to actually get them installed using CMD with switch -overall?
I agree these guides need to be stickied. You can work with them up there. It appears the next Gen 700 and 752 will be in this forum too. Basing that on 552? so this thread won't go down to the lowly Older G Notebook forum for awhile, LOL.
